Mission
The IESE Energy Club was founded in 2006 by a group of students from the oil & gas, utilities and renewable energy sectors.
This original mix of backgrounds is still the base of our culture and purpose: to raise interest among the IESE community and promote the importance of the energy sector for the economy and society.
Main activities
The Energy Club focuses on reaching both students with a strong interest in Energy as well as those who are simply curious about this fast-growing, influential industry. Throughout the academic year, the Energy Club develops a varied stream of activities:
Energy Industry updates: Periodically the club provides updates on the sector dictated by the main interests of the student community (for example, Renewable trends, Energy Efficiency, Global gas and LNG market, business models in the oil industry, etc.);
Career Panels: The Energy Club invites past members, summer interns and experienced colleagues and instructors to share their experiences, career paths and general advice within the various areas of the energy sector;
Resume Reviews and Interview prep: Advice from IESE students and our Career’s Department provide an immediate benefit to students shaping and revising their CV’s and preparing for industry interviews;
Green Drinks: A monthly social event in Barcelona that allows students to network and build relationships with fellow club members, other schools’ energy club members, and the local Spanish community;
IESE Energy student CV Book: This book is used by IESE’s Career Department to showcase the club members CV to leading energy companies.
